Sex and moral

Relating to my post on Petraeus and the issue of sex and politics in the US, I want to put it in another way: to have this love affair, Petraeus as well as others who did the same (men or women), proof the fact that moral categories never can win against love and sex in this way.

The German philosopher Immanuel Kant was convinced that being rational, man can suppress love and sex by his rational conviction. Here ………………

love vs. politics

An American “hero” and an integer director of the CIA becomes dangerous for US politicians and some kind of political inner circle. This political and social affair mirrors the bigoted US attitude towards love, security and politics. Up to the exposure of this love affair Petraeus`image was stable, clean and integer. From one moment to the other all this broke down. The image broke down. And people now believe that one could no longer trust this ( the same) man.

In other, former cases like this, politicians decided in another way. Not this kind of publicity and no big media hype. Not this kind of hysterical prosecuting. Not this prompt demand towards Petraeus to quit his job at once.

Silence as dialogue – 默克尔访华:沉默的对话

I know about one big handicape of my blog. It is the language. It took me some time to find my decision, namely to choose English and not German or Chinese or any other language.

English is ranked as world language number One. It is spoken all over the world. But not everybody of course speaks English. And even when someone has learnt English at shool, maybe he or she is not familiar in speaking the language.

This not a problem. Really. You speak the language you like to speak. But how to write in an international blog on intercultural communication? ……………….

Knowing is knowing not to know

When I went to India for the first time 1976 I wanted to explore the country, to get accustomed to the people and the culture. As people in India speak English it was quite easy for me to communicate. By doing this my interest grew to learn more about what happens in society, in politics and in rural life.

By talking I of course also tried to let the other know what my knowledge of …………..

Angela Merkel´s body language video-

All media write, talk and comment about Angela Merkel´s politics and behavior coping with the crisis. She polarizes whenever she talks about her political behavior, decisions and strategy. One side of the media reaction agrees, the other one disagrees completely. Some months ago many voices argued about her leadership. Those voices mirrored the opinion that she was not a leader at all.

Well she is a leader.

Well she shows this since ……………………

cowardice or humility

yesterday there was election in one big state of Germany. Interesting in so far as in contrast to many other eöections we had a clear winner and a clear looser. Not the result struck my mind, not the winner or looser impressed me, but one little side phenomenon.

Some shade behind the spoken words.

Both politicians were asked about the importance of the politician as a person, not as representative of a special programm or party. Both answered the same way:………………
