 Eating and enjoying……

a good friend of mine just left for China. He will stay there for about three weeks. He went to China roundabout 1985 when the country still was so different to nowadays. He remembers and told us how Beijing looked like without so many cars, just bicycles, busses and some taxis. No paved road to the airport andsoon. From those days he went there for so many times that he perhaps can´t count the stays there any more.

We listened to him and his stories while enjoying some wonderful Chinese food. ………

The body does not cry….

Young Chinese students dope themselves to get a good exam, I read today and was shocked. Middle school says the students are injecting amino acids to replace energy. Which the students needed to prepare well for the exams “gao kao”.

 

Going to school is truly very exhausting, the students say. We get up every day at 8:30 am, coming home at 10:30 pm at night.

On the one hand one could talk about the school system and the relevance to what learning means and how learning functions. On the other hand I would say something about what is happening to the body and the inner self of the students when they they do so……………………..

.Inspired by the way how Chinese move….

……………….well it feels like starting to write an article and sitting in front of the blanc sheet of paper. In mind every word is already prepared but it has to be written down.

I started this group because I came into contact with some Chinese and experienced them moving in a different way than many Germans do. Or nonverbally communicating in a way I did not feel familiar with, though the relationship was friendly and open enough. I became interested in what happened and of course how to respond. —–
