www.body-languages.de is online since one year 🙂

One year ago I started with www.body-languages.de. One year full of interesting experience, inspiring experience, doubts, hesitation, fresh energy, supporting feedback and courage to go on.

My main interest is and was to write about intercultural communication under the special perspective of body language that means nonverbal communication. To follow this road is carried by being convinced that this perspective is a broad perspective. Much broader than photographic body language often is reduced to. Body language always, in all cultures, is expression and impression at the same time. It is born in a certain society, culture and always related to the setting, the context. Body language is part of dialogue, communication und acting. And body language is created in and by dialogue.

I hope you will be interested in my posts as you did before. Of course I thank you for your support by communicating the link to your friends or other people. Or by feedback. Or by posting yourself. Please feel fre to post yorself whatever you think its worth to be reported. — All of course has to be related to body languaga, nonverbal intercultural communication.

You are welcome!!!!!

From tomorrow on I will start with a little photo story, which is related of course to body language. A story with one tiny chapter each day. You alread get a little curious? I hope so. 🙂

Body language of Zuckerberg

Both look, seen from the nonverbal perspective, very nice and cute. They seem to be made from the same quality. From a very sweet quality. And thus there are obvious differences. Important differences:

While she shows up with her heart (feelings), he hides behind his dark sun glasses. Dark sun glasses over here in Europe identify a man as some kind of mafia boss, personality with e hidden message or so.

Of course Zuckerberg is no mafia boss ……………..

Chinese and American body language differences, new perspectives

There has always been a comfortable zone felt by native speakers and so they don’t feel any difficulty in communicating with each other. But when a foreigner tries to communicate with a native of a country, action speaks louder than words. Lot of things like body language, facial expressions, gestures come into picture. Let us deal with the differences in body language between China and America in this article. Before we start, why China and America? Well, both these nations are totally different in terms of their culture and both have equal business opportunities in each other’s nations and so it has become mandatory if you are doing a business in China or plan to settle down in America or anyway around.

There are lots of cultural differences between Chinese and

Bioenergetics: body language translated

Bioenergetics is a relational somatic form of psychotherapy whose theory presents that what goes on in the mind is also manifest in the body. So getting to know more about this will help you to understand more about yourself and the other.

Bioenergetics is a relational somatic form of psychotherapy whose theory presents that what goes on in the mind is also manifest in the body.

But it`s not only a form of psychotherapy, but also a way to understand life, relationsship and personality in terms of the body.

A matter of opinion

Psychologists of Bristol University have found out, that there is big and radical gender difference in perception and awareness. (http://www.plosone.org/home.action )

On the one hand women are better aware of little differences than men. On the other hand if watching a person on a photo, men mostly look at the person`s face whereas women also look at the body as a whole.

This of course leads to the impression of big differences in life experience. Both live in the same world, but see different things or aspects of this world.

And of course behave in a different way, present themselves in a different habit.

This difference is quite a stable element of nonverbal communication. So to say a fact which cannot be neglected in it´s important influence on communication. Of course this fact also is a chance to enrich gender communication. By being aware of this fact and integrating the consequences in one´s own behavior. Or by being aware of this and addressing the other in order to reflect both perspectives as two parts of the same coin.

Body language in Europe

well I wrote a lot about body language and gestures in China or what we think about it.

Here are some information about the other perspective: what it is like to communicate nonverbally in Europe or Northern America. Just have a look and get an impression. Within the next weeks I will write more about this perspective.

Basics in Chinese Body language

“Body language forms a crucial part of everyday communication. Consciously or unconsciously we tend to use different parts of our body to convey certain messages across. It is a fact that body language is not used likely in all the parts of the world. The use and the meaning of certain body languages can vary widely across different cultures. Body language used in one culture could be altogether different from that used in other culture. The body language that maybe considered appropriate in one place might turn out to be offensive in the other. For instance, there are some sharp contrast between the body language used in the West and those used in the East.

We can find exclusive use of body language and hand gestures in China. China…………..

The Importance of Nonverbal Communication for expatriats

Using effectively nonverbal communication when moving and relocating overseas is quite an important issue for people who go a country where they will meet very different cultural influences. I right now do not think especially about tourists but about people who have to live in a foreign country for quite a long time, as student, manager, representative of some organisation andsoon.

Spoken language is only7% to 35% of communication. The majority of our feelings and intentions are sent through nonverbal communication. Moreover we tend to search for signals when verbal messages are unclear or ambiguous.

Wordless messages or kinesics are the way we communicate by ………….
