Reading emotions is worth money

A lately published research says that there’s a quite an obvious connection between emotional recognition and annual income. This does not mean that only people with a high annual income have an emotional competence or emotional intelligence. And yet on the other hand …………….

Functional identity of man

Quite similar to the concept of affect-logic of Luc Ciompi is the work of Wilhelm Reich which is based on psychoanalysis. This concept, and this is the contrast to the concept of affect-logic, is mainly focused to the personal experience in childhood.  The more the person relates and communicates in a very personal and specific way with his parents, his family and his surroundings. This experience can be observed on all different levels of personality and identity: The body-level, the emotional level, the behavior level, the awareness level and so on.

The concept of the bioenergetic analysis, that’s how it’s called, shows that ………

When the words “I love you” are so shocking

Well we in in the western world have heard so much about the difficulty of showing up emotions in China or in East Asian countries. And it seems even worse to talk about emotions. Especially being said by parents to their children or children to their parents.

More about selfie and self trust

A lot is said about selfies, about making selfies and the function of selfies. Here is another aspect. A selfie serves to more deeply entrench the sexual objectification of women and girls and that one looses the control of the self-image once it’s shared online.

Others criticize the apparent narcissism aspect.

One could also say and here we have new sociological research being done that making a selfie also is some kind of democratic nature because it holds liberatory potential. Those, who are not well presented in media obviously like to make selfies because it has a value for them. The value of being represented in media.

Because those who feel more self trust are more easily present in media.

A hug heals heartbeat and blood pressure

Of course you know how much you like a hug. Of course you remember how it felt like the last time. But did you know that a hug heals heartproblems, reduces high blood-pressure?

In older times people knew about that. They of course did not know this connection on the physical level,  but just by doing it. In our times a hug often is done without really being touched inside. We hug one another because people usually do so. We hug one another because others expect it from me. We hug each other because…..

Sex is gender and “not” sex

From a very early age on we can decipher sex, sexuality and the differences in detail. Some days ago I came across a little investigation on this competence. I was astonished about one result:

If you look at the picture above you maybe ask if you know the difference between the individuals pictured are male or female. Most of the people are able to decipher by ……..
