“Discharging” is a survival activation

the production (charge) of energy through respiration and metabolism and discharge of energy in motion and movement are the fundamental processes of life. How much energy you have and how you use this energy, determines the way you respond to a situation, to life. The more energy you can put into free movement and expression, the better you can deal with different situations, with life.

I will talk about this later this week and will relate this to man, feeling, behavior and so on.

Please kee in mind discharging is a very normal process in life and a survival pattern or survival activation. Just have a look how this looks like.

Failure is…….

The phenomenon named “failure” is the interpretation of something what has happened and is not a fact.

Failure or the Feeling of failure is not a feature or quality of something but of you, of yourself.

This also means:

the more something called “Change” is connected with the feeling of value for yourself, with self-esteem, with your identity and career, the more things which happen are interpreted as “failure”.

Being caught at first sight (an embodyed story part 3)

The mystery of these hands, which I showed you some days ago caught me like an eye catcher. Passing this little window in a tiny side street of Rome old and odd faces did not look at me but somewhere in the air. Though without really realizing it, I could not pass without being caught. Lifeless faces, as it seemed to be, but with a (hidden) story about life.
I became curious and looked into the shop.

Maybe this is a good start to be aware of  “body”, of a possible bodily expression. It is a good start because ………….

Parents in the U.S. and China both lie to their kids, study says

„If you don`t come with me now, then I will leave you here alone“.

This is the most popular lie in USA and China, to make children to behave in a “proper” way, that means in the way the parents want them to behave. Some parents, so is the result of some new scientific study, even threat their children with their own death.

A client of mine told me some day another way how her mother tried to gain complete power on her daughter when she was young. She wanted her daughter not to lie. Thus she tried to obtain this power on her daughter in a cruel way.

With complete success as the daughter ……….

Smelling: Examination of ‘true’ autobiographical memories

The sense of smell is set apart from other sensory modalities. Odours possess the capacity to trigger immediately strong emotional memories. Moreover, odorous stimuli provide a higher degree of memory retention than other sensory stimuli. Odour perception, even in its most elemental form – olfaction – already involves limbic structures. This early involvement is not paralleled in other sensory modalities………..

Facial expression by itself does not give reliable answers

Facial expression by itself does neither accurately mirrors deeper, extreme emotions nor helps to distinguish accurately deeper extreme positive or negative emotions.

These are some basic results of a new study published in Science from November 2012. Here are some of the most important results regarding the expression of extreme emotions:

  • The facial expression by itself does not give reliable answers
  • Judging such emotions from the facial expression only lead to over estimation………..
