Unconscious body language of couples

While sleeping people usually behave very spontaneously. They are as they are, not self-controlled, not posing or doing anything special. Also while sleeping a couple behaves in a way that opens a deep insight into their relationship.

Nonverbally. They relate to each other in an unconscious way which mirrors their deep Connection and wishes for one another.

A Russian photographer once realized that many of her friends got pregnant. They as future parents…………

A hesitating gesture

Chinese, especially female Chinese, like to expose themselves being photographed. They place themselves right away in front of the camera and wait for the relieving pic to be taken. Often they face something around themselves in order to give an impression of being related to this or that. Just like the little girl being related to this beautiful lotus flower.

Two aspects strike my mind almost always when I am aware of such a scene. First they expose and relate but in a more or less hesitating gesture. If you look at the hands or arms of the little girl you will see what I mean. She reaches out, or better to say remains ………

Dancing in the sunset, in Berlin

Perhaps you remember, some days ago, what I explained about my really striking experiences watching Chinese people dancing in the park.

Let me tell you something about an experience which I had in Berlin, in Germany. If you watch the little video you can get a similar impression which I got in the park in Beijing or elsewhere in China.

It is not so often, that you see people dancing outside somewhere in a park in Germany. It is really seldom and if you watch the people dancing you’ll get an impression of nice movement, joyful dancing and smiling faces. But in contrast to ……….

Dancing in the park  (Journey to China No. 8)

You see them in the parks. Mostly in the morning or later in the afternoon or evening. You see them dancing. You see them enjoying and you’re aware of a very big difference in bodily expression.

On the one hand, often when you see Chinese people, they seem to walk and move a bit slowly, feel aggrieved and in a black mood, as if it would be typical for most of the people, typical for the country or a typical character expressed on the body-level.

In contrast to a possible stereotype ……….

Wall, Wall, Wall (Journey to China No.6)

There are at least three different kinds of walls in China. They are typical for China.

First of all there is the famous Great Wall. It is a territorial wall. A wall to protect against the enemies who live outside in the world. A wall to defend the own country successfully. A wall to keep the country together.  And a wall to demonstrate power.

Secondly there is the wall around the Forbidden City. It is an ……..

You are so welcome!!!!!! (Journey to China No.5)

On Friday I decided to walk down the north-south axis in Beijing. Of course I wanted to have a look on, that means down on the forbidden city, So I decided to climb up the hill ( Jingshan Gongyuan ). It was a bit misty. The sun was hidden behind dark clouds. I loved the walk, being “entertained” by coming across different people in really interesting situations. So I met someone doing massage on people lying just on the ground. So I just met people dancing in the middle of the park.

And I met lots of people just sitting on the ground, eating, drinking, laughing, talking and enjoying. Usually when ………

Little Emporer caught in his Empire (Journey to China No.4)

Well, the little prince also is experienced as little emperor. This can lead to the impression that the world around this little child or grandchild hast to suffer a lot. And there will be lots of examples which will support this impression.

Let me introduce also another perspective to look on the child in the one-child-family with four grandparents. Everybody looks on the child, after the child, with the child. The child is aware of this attention. The child will love it but cannot leave it. It is just …………..

Grandparents as Nanny: is it good for the child? (Journey to China No. 3)

You cannot miss them in the streets. Those grandparents with their little grandchildren. Or better to say grandchild. It is always one child only. Their look after their grandchild. Care for their grandchildren while the parents of the grandchild have to work.

One could say that this is wonderful for the parents, because they …………..
