Is there a difference between you and me? (An embodyed story -7-)

of course I could relax besides this young lady. I felt quite comfortable lying there when my attention always moved back to these faces. The puppets touched each other and gave the impression ” we belong together”. We are here and we know what we want. We are aware of YOU being here but we do NOT address you. We don`t want you to become important by ………

Awareness and attention needs digestion (an embodyed story part -6-)

my attention jumped from one little detailed piece to another. There were so many that, if I had really jumped in too deep, it would have last ages to find orientation and not getting lost.
It is just like in real life I thought. Being confronted with so many details which cry for attention or being watched and observed that it would be too much for our little brain just to let go. Though letting go is a basic experience and principle to survive in this chaos which determins real life.
Being able to let go in this chaos, and I can tell you it is not easy at all, brings us to some resting pole in order to calm down. To calm down and digeste what we have seen and what has overwhelmed us without (often) consciously realizing it.
So to make it short: following the process of your awareness / attention always has to lead to moments of digesting. Otherwise we get lost in and by awareness.
So I want to invite you to lie down besides this beautiful looking jung lady, have a rest and enjoy.

Expression and impression (an embodyed story part 5)

Being caught by some detail I just had to look around. Had to stand still, move my head from one side to the other, facing a whole new world of creatures which I had never seen before. Creatures deriving from a continent of relevance which was and probably still is strange to me. Again I was fascinated by this world of creatures who started talking to me in a mother tongue which was familiar to me though not ………..

Respect for a first detail is the start of exploration (an embodyed story part 4)

When I had entered the tiny shop or so to say small studio of the old woman my eyes first caught sight of this puppet which you can see on the photo. A lifeless puppet as it seems to be. Not really interesting. Not worth to enter the shop I said to myself. And yet the arrangement of the puppet without a head and the other stuff looked so strange and thus attractive, that I started looking around. Maybe it was the fact that there was this uncoordinated arrangement, with ……………

Being caught at first sight (an embodyed story part 3)

The mystery of these hands, which I showed you some days ago caught me like an eye catcher. Passing this little window in a tiny side street of Rome old and odd faces did not look at me but somewhere in the air. Though without really realizing it, I could not pass without being caught. Lifeless faces, as it seemed to be, but with a (hidden) story about life.
I became curious and looked into the shop.

Maybe this is a good start to be aware of  “body”, of a possible bodily expression. It is a good start because ………….

An embodyed story (part 2)

some of you probably felt guided by those old hands to something in the past of this old woman, some hard work, some heavy experience or so. In any case you at once get an fate-impression which tells you a story, even if you don`t know anything about the history of this old woman.

This always happens if you get to know this or not.

This always happens if you are aware of this or not.

This always happens in any culture where you …..

An embodyed story (part 1)

What is the secret of these hands?

And this a hint to how it happens as it happens:

  • a first sight, perhaps for a second
  • you look around, you see many other things and the first sight stills stays in your mind
  • you feel some kind of attraction
  • you don`t know why but you feel the fact that it is as it is
  • and you slightly begin to realize that there is some hidden meaning, some meaning thogh you don`t know what kind of meaning

I can tell you that this probably will happen to you wherever you are in the world.

How do you thing about? Do you agree?

www.body-languages.de is online since one year 🙂

One year ago I started with www.body-languages.de. One year full of interesting experience, inspiring experience, doubts, hesitation, fresh energy, supporting feedback and courage to go on.

My main interest is and was to write about intercultural communication under the special perspective of body language that means nonverbal communication. To follow this road is carried by being convinced that this perspective is a broad perspective. Much broader than photographic body language often is reduced to. Body language always, in all cultures, is expression and impression at the same time. It is born in a certain society, culture and always related to the setting, the context. Body language is part of dialogue, communication und acting. And body language is created in and by dialogue.

I hope you will be interested in my posts as you did before. Of course I thank you for your support by communicating the link to your friends or other people. Or by feedback. Or by posting yourself. Please feel fre to post yorself whatever you think its worth to be reported. — All of course has to be related to body languaga, nonverbal intercultural communication.

You are welcome!!!!!

From tomorrow on I will start with a little photo story, which is related of course to body language. A story with one tiny chapter each day. You alread get a little curious? I hope so. 🙂

Body language of Zuckerberg

Both look, seen from the nonverbal perspective, very nice and cute. They seem to be made from the same quality. From a very sweet quality. And thus there are obvious differences. Important differences:

While she shows up with her heart (feelings), he hides behind his dark sun glasses. Dark sun glasses over here in Europe identify a man as some kind of mafia boss, personality with e hidden message or so.

Of course Zuckerberg is no mafia boss ……………..

The direct look into someone`s eyes

Of course people in China look at each other, look into each other’s eyes. But often, especially in specific management situations, negotiations and so on it is not opportune to look into the other’s eyes too intensively, too long or to directly. This could be experienced as too close, too emotional and too offensive.

I get the fantasy that Chinese look at each other but really are not familiar with the experience of “to show up” and “to be seen”. Experiencing such a situation would be to …………
